Robe Guta

Robe Guta (also: Robe Tola ; born October 12, 1986 ) is an Ethiopian marathon runner .

In her debut over the marathon distance she finished second in the Enschede Marathon in 2005 . In the same year she was third in the Frankfurt Marathon in 2:29:30. In the following spring, she won only the Venloop in 1:12:53. In the subsequent Hamburg Marathon she equalized the seven-year-old course record of Katrin Dörre-Heinig with 2:24:35 . At the Frankfurt Marathon in the same year, however, she was unable to build on these achievements and finished seventh in 2:39:18.

In 2007 she won the 20 van Alphen and was sixth in the Boston Marathon . As a participant in the heat marathon of the World Athletics Championships 2007 in Osaka, however, she suffered a bad slump and came in 56th.

In 2008 she was eighth in the Dubai Marathon and in Boston and won the Cologne Marathon in 2:29:39. In 2009 she qualified for the World Championships in Berlin with a win at the Seoul International Marathon in 2:25:37 , but did not finish there. At the end of the season she was third in the Yokohama Marathon .

In 2011 she won again in Seoul and was sixth in Yokohama.
