Robert Beyer (born October 14, 1969 in Rostock ) is a German actor .

Life

Beyer studied from 1992 to 1996 in Berlin at the Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Arts .

During his studies he already took part in theater performances, including a. in Epitaph by Heimrad Becker (director: Ronald Steckel ; world premiere in 1993 at the Hebbel-Theater in Berlin) and in the 1995/96 season at the BAT-Studiotheater in the double staging of The Unknown by Alexander Blok (premiere: September 1995, director: Thomas Ostermeier ) and A certain number of conversations by Alexander Vvedenski (directed by Christian von Treskow and Gennadi Bogdanov ).

In 1996 Robert Beyer played the character of "Moritz Stiefel" in Frank Wedekind's play Spring Awakening at the Leipzig Theater, directed by Johanna Schall . From 1996 to 1999 Beyer was a permanent member of the ensemble at the Düsseldorfer Schauspielhaus , where he a. a. Mortimer in Maria Stuart (1996; director: Dietrich Hilsdorf ), in Der Dibbuk von Salomon An-ski (director: Janusz Wisniewski), Johannes in Salome (1997; director: Einar Schleef ) and Major Crampas in Effi Briest (1998; Director: Kazuko Watanabe ) played. At the Hamburg Schauspielhaus , he joined in 1999 in the fire face of Marius von Mayenburg on; he took over the character of "Kurt" in the direction of Thomas Ostermeier.

Robert Beyer has been part of the permanent ensemble of the Schaubühne on Lehniner Platz since the new beginning in 1999 . He also worked as a theater actor alongside Thomas Ostermeier with the directors Alvis Hermanis , Falk Richter and Luk Perceval , Herbert Fritsch and, in particular, with Marius von Mayenburg and Simon McBurney .

In television and cinema productions Robert Beyer played in small and medium-sized roles a. a. in The Baader Meinhof Complex (2008), Fräulein Stinnes Around the World (2009), Flick (2010; documentary), The Book Thief (2013) and Best Friends (2014). In 2013 he was seen in the episode Stadt, Land, Tod in the ZDF crime series SOKO Wismar in a leading role in the episode . He played the dog breeder Piet Jensen, who was at war with his neighbor and who is suspected of having committed a crime.

Directed by Jonas Grosch & Carlos Val, he played the osteopath Dominique in the 2014 movie bestefreunde . The film opened in German cinemas in February 2015.

Beyer has been taking photos as an autodidact since 2002 and is now a part-time semi-professional photographer . He has his first public photo exhibition in May / June 2017 in the former Universum Lounge of the Schaubühne Berlin.
