Robert Salerno

Robert "Bob" Salerno (born March 28, 1972 ) is an American film producer .

Career

Salerno's best-known film is 21 grams , directed by Alejandro González Iñárritu . As early as 1995 Salerno signed a contract with The Shooting Gallery , an American film company based in New York City . Salerno met the actor Billy Bob Thornton at The Shooting Gallery , with whom he is still deeply friends today. So Salerno Thorntons produced All the beautiful horses and Daddy and them - Crazy in Arkansas .

In 2002 Salerno produced the film Waking Up in Reno . He also produced Al Pacino's independent film Chinese Coffee . In 2006 he was a producer on Tom DiCillo's film Blitzlichtgewitter .

In 2007 Salerno was successful with Chapter 27 - The Assassination of John Lennon , and in 2008 with Winged Creatures .

In 2009 he produced Tom Ford's directorial debut A Single Man . The story of a homosexual professor of literature who teaches at a university in Los Angeles and has to come to terms with the death of his lover has won numerous awards and was also nominated for an Oscar .

In 2010 the drama Twelve followed . Directed by Joel Schumacher , Chace Crawford played the leading role .

In 2017 he was accepted into the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS), which awards the Oscars every year.
