Carl Friedrich Robert Oscar von Dobschütz (born May 16, 1850 in Glatz ; † August 5, 1927 in Dresden ) was a Prussian major general .

family

Robert von Dobschütz came from the von Dobschütz family , an old Silesian noble family of landowners and officers, and was the son of the Prussian major Robert von Dobschütz and the Meta Scheder from Schweidnitz .

He married on May 22, 1876 in Neisse Anna Elisabeth ( Anneli ) Christ (* August 18, 1856 on Mannsdorf manor , Neisse district ; † March 26, 1935 in Dresden), the daughter of the Prussian District Court Councilor Emanuel Christ, Lord of Mannsdorf, and the Bertha Migula. Anneli Christ was the sister of the Prussian major general Waldemar Christ and the Australian emigrant Otto Christ.

Military background

At his wedding in May 1876, Dobschütz was Prussian Premier Lieutenant (from May 18) in the 4th Upper Silesian Infantry Regiment No. 63 in Neisse. In 1893 he was transferred as a major to Infantry Regiment No. 141 in Graudenz and was appointed battalion commander in Strasburg the following year . On May 22, 1899, he was transferred to the staff of the infantry regiment "von Borcke" (4th Pomeranian) No. 21 in Thorn and, with his promotion to colonel in June 1901, was appointed commander . With the promotion to major general in April 1905 Dobschütz received command of the 77th Infantry Brigade in Ostrowo .

In 1907 Dobschütz retired and initially settled with his wife in Loschwitz near Dresden. The couple lived in Berlin from 1912 to 1917 , but then returned to the Dresden region, this time to Hosterwitz , and finally moved directly to the city of Dresden in May 1926, where they could still celebrate their golden wedding, just a few months before Dobschütz 'Death in August 1927.
