Roberto Lacorte (born June 15, 1968 in Pisa ) is an Italian entrepreneur, sailor and racing car driver .

Entrepreneur

Roberto Lacorte studied business administration at the University of Pisa . After his military service in the Italian Navy in 1995 and 1996, he worked in various auditing firms . In 2003, he and partners founded Pharmanutra , a publicly traded company that produces and sells functional food and medical devices worldwide .

Sailors

Roberto Lacorte is a famous sailor who own maxi yacht in international ocean races participates.

Racing career

Lacorte came to international motorsport through Giorgio Sernagiotto . He only drove in a few national GT series and contested his first international sports car race in 2014 with the Vallelunga 6-hour race . Behind the trio Piergiuseppe Perazzini / Marco Cioci / Giancarlo Fisichella in the AF-Corse - Ferrari 458 Italia GTC , he and partner Sernagiotto achieved second place overall in the Tatuus PY012 . With the start of the 2015 season , he became a regular starter in the European Le Mans Series . He drove the LMP2 racing cars of Cetilar Villorba Corse and achieved his best result so far in this racing series with fourth place in the 2017 Monza 4-hour race.

In 2017 , he made his debut at the 24 Hours of Le Mans with ninth place overall . In 2018 he finished the race in 19th place overall.
