Stard Ova (real name Boris Fleck ) is a German music producer and songwriter from Urexweiler , who was also active under the pseudonyms Phleck and Phlack and is co-founder of the record label and music publisher PMR Music GmbH. He gained notoriety in German-speaking countries in particular through his productions in collaboration with rapper Kay One and with some web video producers on YouTube .

biography

Before starting his music production, Boris Fleck worked as a media designer for bigFM Saarland . He was involved in the production of three songs on the album Giving & Taking by rapper Nyze . He achieved his first successes in 2012 through collaboration with the Swiss musicians Patrick Miller and Mr. Da-Nos , including as a songwriter with the hit Dancing in London , which placed in the German , Austrian and Swiss charts. In 2015 worked with Kay One for the first time and produced some songs on his album JGUDZS - Young enough to give a shit . The album reached top 10 placements in Germany and Austria and number one in Switzerland.

Stard Ova had his breakthrough as a producer in 2017 when he wrote or produced the hits Louis Louis , a cover version of the song Brother Louie by Modern Talking and Señorita by Kay One. While Louis Louis reached the top 10 of the German single charts and was awarded platinum , Señorita achieved number one placements in Germany and Austria . In Germany, the single achieved diamond status with over one million units sold , making Señorita one of the best-selling singles in Germany . As a summer hit, the piece has been compared several times with Despacito by Luis Fonsi , which was released earlier this year . With Doggy , Stard Ova produced the first single by web video producer Katja Krasavice, which was released in November 2017 . This entered the top 10 of the German and Austrian charts at the beginning of December and the music video reached three million views on YouTube within one day. In 2018 he was also responsible as the producer of the following singles, Big Lips and Sex Tape , which followed on from this success, the former also becoming a number one hit in Austria. After the success with Kay One, Stard Ova was responsible for the production of the entire album Makers Gonna Make , which was released in September . In the web video sector he also worked as a producer for Leon Machère , who entered the German-language charts with Copacabana in August and moved into the top 20 in Germany and Austria. The associated video has now been viewed over 50 million times on YouTube.
