Marco Cioci (born September 26, 1975 in Rome ) is an Italian racing driver .

Career

Marco Cioci began his career in 1995 in the Formula Opel Lotus . In the following years he competed in monoposto and GT races in parallel. In 1996 he was third overall in the Italian Renault Clio Cup and in 2000 14th in the final ranking of the Formula Palmer Audi .

From the 2001 season onwards he competed almost exclusively in GT and sports car races. By the end of the 2015 season, he had 12 overall and 15 class wins. He celebrated his first success in 2006 at the 6-hour race in Vallelunga , which he shared with his partners Pedro Lamy and Piergiuseppe Perazzini in a Maserati MC12 GT1 . In 2013 he celebrated his last overall victory in this race . This time Perazzini and Andrea Bertolini were his partners in the Ferrari 458 Italia .

Cioci was featured in almost all established sports car series. In 2012 he finished second overall in the GTE-Am class of the European Le Mans Series and in 2013 third in this class at the 24 Hours of Le Mans .
