Rodishain is located northeast of the city of Nordhausen in the extreme northeast of the Free State of Thuringia, on the border with Stolberg (Harz) in Saxony-Anhalt . The distance to the city center of Nordhausen is about 10 km. The corridor is docked and surrounded by the southern foothills of the Harz Mountains . The Ronnebach and the Wolfsbach flow through the village . The district road 10 connects the district with the road 1037, which leads from Stempeda to Rottleberode .

history

The first documentary mention can be found in a document (document book Kloster Walkenried I, No. 112) from the year 1221. On December 1, 2007 Rodishain was incorporated into Nordhausen with the last 283 inhabitants. Farmers and craftsmen live in the village. The economy is stimulated by tourism through the campsite with Hotel Wolfsmühle.
