Roger Ashton-Griffiths (born January 19, 1957 in Hertfordshire , England ) is a British - Canadian film and theater actor and filmmaker .

Life

Ashton-Griffiths, who has dual citizenship of England and Canada, studied musicology at Lancaster University from 1975 to 1978 and was then engaged as a singer at the English National Opera from 1979 to 1981 . In the 1980s, Ashton-Griffiths was a sought-after stage actor, appearing in plays such as Sweeney Todd at theaters in Colchester , Liverpool , Watford , Southampton and Bristol .

Ashton-Griffiths has played numerous supporting roles in film and television since 1982, mostly in British and European productions.
