Roland Richard Guaves Müller (born March 2, 1988 in Cologne ) is a Filipino football player who plays on the position of goalkeeper .
Career
societies
Roland Müller played in his youth for 1. FC Köln and also played there for the B-youth in the top division, the regional league and for the A-youth in the U-19-Bundesliga (25 games). In the summer of 2007 he made the jump from the A-youth to the second team . In the 2007/08 season he was used nine times in the Oberliga Nordrhein , was third with 1. FC Köln II and was promoted to the Regionalliga West . There Müller established himself as a regular goalkeeper.
After two seasons and 55 appearances in the regional league, Müller moved to the second division club MSV Duisburg , with whom he signed a contract until mid-2013. There he was only the third goalkeeper behind David Yelldell and Marcel Herzog in the 2010/11 season and behind Felix Wiedwald and Florian Fromlowitz in the 2011/12 season , which means that he was initially not used for the Duisburg first team and therefore often that The squad of the second team in the NRW League belonged to.
For the 2012/13 season Müller was the second goalkeeper behind Felix Wiedwald. National team
In the summer of 2011, Müller decided to play for the national team of the Philippines , his mother Maria's country of origin. He was in the squad of the Philippine U-23 national team for the four-nation tournament from September 27 to October 4, 2011 in Taiwan . There he was used in all games under coach Michael Weiß and finished second. However, the games were declared senior team games by FIFA . Thus, Müller had made his debut for the national team on September 30, 2011 in the game against Hong Kong (3: 3). On October 31, 2011, he was nominated by Michael Weiß for the 2011 Southeast Asian Games. There he played all five preliminary round matches with the U-23, but was bottom of the table with only one win and four losses.
