Rolf Lindemann
Rolf Lindemann (born August 21, 1933 in Magdeburg ; † March 26, 2017 ) was a German painter and graphic artist .
Life
After an apprenticeship as a decorative painter from 1947 to 1949, Rolf Lindemann attended the workers and farmers faculty in Berlin to study painting at the local college for fine and applied arts from 1952 to 1957 . His teachers included Kurt Robbel , Bert Heller Oskar Nerlinger , Gabriele Mucchi and Arno Mohr . Since then he has worked as a freelancer. He was a member of the Association of Visual Artists of the GDR , since 1991 of the Federal Association of Visual Artists .
In 1980 Rolf Lindemann was a guest lecturer at the Berlin School of Advertising and Design .
In 1983, his color lithograph Basar was awarded a prize in the 100 selected graphics competition. In 2000 he was awarded the Helen Abbott Prize.
