Roman Böttcher (born December 9, 1979 ) is a former German cross-country summer biathlete .

Roman Böttcher took the first time in 1998 at Summer Biathlon World Championships in Osrblie in part and was the 66th of the sprint. In 1999 he was sprint tenth in Minsk . The third world championship was the world title fights in Khanty-Mansiysk with places 17 in the sprint and 16 in the pursuit. Böttcher ran his last World Championship in 2004 in Forni Avoltri and finished 31st in the sprint, was 27th in the pursuit and 22nd in the mass start. With the relay around Michael Genz , Frank Röttgen and Wilhelm Rösch , he finished sixth as the starting runner. In 2004 Böttcher ran at the first European biathlon championships in Clausthal-Zellerfeld , where he finished sixth in the pursuit race. The last major event was the EM 2005 in Bystřice , where Böttcher finished seventh in the sprint and fifth in the mass start. With Stefanie Hildebrand , Monika Liedtke and Röttgen, he won the silver medal in the mixed relay competition behind the Russian relay as the final runner.

Between 2000 and 2003, Böttcher won one race of the Summer Biathlon European Cup every year . In 2004 he was second and third in a European Cup race in Bystrice. Nationally he won the German championship titles between 1999 and 2002 with the relay, sprint and pursuit. In 2003 he won the sprint title, in 2005 again in the sprint and relay.
