Ronald Burrell (born July 21, 1983 in New Jersey ) is an American basketball player who played professionally in Europe after completing his studies in his home country .
During his studies, Burrell played at the University of North Carolina in Greensboro for the University Team Spartans in the NCAA Division I. After graduating in 2005, he moved to Europe and played his first season abroad at Levallois in the second French League LNB Pro B . He was then signed by the German champions RheinEnergie from Cologne for the 2006/07 BBL season and the 2006/07 ULEB Euroleague . At the end of the season, the club won the 2007 German Cup in the final against the Artland Dragons , but retired as defending champions against this team in the semi-finals of the championship. Burrell then moved to local rival Telekom Baskets in Bonn for the 2007/08 BBL season and was runner-up here at the end of the season when they lost to Alba Berlin in the finals , with Bobby Brown , with whom Burrell played in Poland from 2010 , in their squad had.
