Ronja Furrer (born January 18, 1992 ) is a Swiss model .

life and career

Furrer grew up in the village of Lüterkofen in the canton of Solothurn . At the age of 14 she took part in the Elite Model Look Switzerland and reached 2nd place. This was followed by the international Elite Model Look Contest in Marrakech , where she was among the top 15. At the age of 15 she moved to Paris . There she received orders for the fashion magazines ELLE , Vogue and Marie Claire . After finishing school, she went to New York , where she still works and mostly lives today. She commutes between New York, Paris, London and Switzerland.

Ronja Furrer was photographed for the magazines Brasilian Vogue, ELLE , Marie Claire , Teen Vogue , GQ , Harper's Bazaar , Jalouse , Twelv , Amica , Biba , Madame Figaro , Anabelle , Bolero and Grazia .

Furrer is one of the few top Swiss models. She works successfully for the brands Zimmerli underwear, PKZ , Maison Mollerus and Globus . In the 2013 spring campaign, not only Furrer's body but also her face will be shown for the first time. Other customers from whom she received orders were Reed Krakoff , Jean Paul Gaultier , Schwarzkopf , Macy’s , Bloomingdale’s , Surface to Air , Nivea , Triumph and Esprit .

In September 2011, Furrer appeared in the German edition of ELLE magazine in a ten-page fashion spread under the title “Die Garçonne”. In it she presented fashion and looks in the style of the Swiss writer and pioneer Annemarie Schwarzenbach . In autumn 2011 she was seen as the new face of the advertising campaign of the posh Saks department store in New York City from October 2011 , and in spring 2012 as the new face in Ralph Lauren 's worldwide advertising campaign .

She posed for photographers like Mark Seliger, Carter Smith, Steven Meisel , Camilla Akrans, David Bellmere, Max Vadukal, Terry Gates, Armin Morbach, Greg Kadel and Manolo Campion. In a photo shoot with the photographer Manolo Campion, she was photographed half-naked in erotic poses.

Furrer is in a relationship with the Swiss rapper Stress .
