Rosa Loy

Rosa Loy (* 1958 in Zwickau ) is a German painter and graphic artist . It is assigned to the " New Leipzig School ".

Rosa Loy acquired in 1981 at the Humboldt University of Berlin , a diploma as Garden civil engineer , to 1985 she worked in this profession. She then studied at the Leipzig University of Graphics and Book Art in the book design department with Rolf Felix Müller , for which she received a diploma in 1990. Between 1990 and 1993 she was a master student at Rolf Münzner for painting and graphics. She has been working as a freelance artist since 1993.

She is married to Neo Rauch . The artist couple lives in Markkleeberg near Leipzig and has a son.

Neo Rauch and Rosa Loy designed the set for the Lohengrin opera at the 2018 Bayreuth Festival .

Rosa Loy is a stage name ; her real name is Sibille Rauch.
