The Rruga shtetërore SH9 ( Albanian for state road SH9 ) is a national road in Albania . The connecting road, only a good three kilometers long, leads from the SH3 to the Albanian- North Macedonian border at the Qafë Thana pass .
The SH9 branches off from the SH3 at the actual pass. It then rises - high above Lake Ohrid - from the top of the pass ( 933 m above sea level ) on the ridge to over 1000 m above sea level. A. meters, later leaves the ridge on the eastern side and leads to the border crossing at 995 m above sea level. A.
The route of the SH9 corresponds roughly to a branch of the ancient Via Egnatia . It is also part of the Pan-European Transport Corridor VIII .
The SH9 is an easy road but in good condition.
