Rudolf Hartung (politician)

Rudolf Hartung (born April 7, 1948 in Hilden ) is a German politician ( SPD ).

Life

After graduating from high school in Düsseldorf, Hartung studied German , history and philosophy at the University of Cologne .

Political functions

Rudolf Hartung was chairman of the General Student Committee (AStA) at the University of Cologne in 1972 as part of the Independent University Initiative (UHI, since 1971), which later became the Juso University Group (the SPD had distanced itself from SDS and then SHB ), and from 1973 to 1977 honorary federal manager of the Juso university groups . Between 1975 and 1976 he was Chairman of the United German Student Unions (vds). Before that, Hartung was a speaker at the Association of German Student Associations in Bonn . From 1977 to 1982 he held the office of Federal Secretary of the Young Socialists in the SPD (chairmen Klaus Uwe Benneter , Gerhard Schröder , Willi Piecyk ). Between 1982 and 1984 Rudolf Hartung was the national chairman of the Young Socialists, and since 1984 he has worked for the SPD party executive. From 1993 to 1998 he worked as regional manager of the SPD Berlin. Between 1998 and 2003 Hartung was the coordinator of the SPD executive committee for city elections. From 2003 to 2013 he worked in the SPD state association in North Rhine-Westphalia.
