Rudolph Aloysius Gerken (born March 7, 1887 in Dyersville , Iowa , USA ; † March 2, 1943 in Santa Fe , New Mexico ) was Archbishop of Santa Fe .
Life
Rudolph Aloysius Gerken received on 10 June 1917 by the Bishop of Dallas , Joseph Patrick Lynch , the sacrament of Holy Orders .
On August 25, 1926, Pope Pius XI appointed him . to the Bishop of Amarillo . The Bishop of Dallas, Joseph Patrick Lynch, gave him on April 26, 1927 in the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart in Houston , the episcopal ordination ; Co- consecrators were the Bishop of Galveston , Christopher Edward Byrne , and the Bishop of Oklahoma , Francis Clement Kelley . The inauguration took place on April 28 of the same year.
On June 2, 1933 Pius XI appointed him. to the Archbishop of Santa Fe.
