Baron Rudolph von Laubsky (* 1700 in Bohemia ; † June 27, 1754 in Stuttgart ) was a Württemberg - Prussian general .

Life

Rudolph von Laubsky came from a baronial Bohemian family, which originally called itself Loubský z Lub and later Laubski von Lub . As an educated nobleman, he initially served in Württemberg . On September 1, 1736 he was there in the rank of lieutenant colonel in the Garde du Corps . He was promoted to colonel on November 3, 1736 and entered Prussian service as such on January 6, 1742 . Here he took part in the First Silesian War and was promoted to major general on February 1, 1744 . On August 4, 1744, he returned to the Württemberg service as a major general with a patent from February 3, 1744 and became the commander of the newly established hussar squadron . Laubsky rose to Lieutenant General Field Marshal on May 13, 1745 . As early as 1749, as Lieutenant General, he was the first to be listed among the Württemberg generals. Also in 1748, Excellency Baron Laubsky was at the head of the Württemberg General Staff , commanding general over the princely Württemberg troops on foot and on horseback as well as over the country fortresses. He ended his career after becoming General of the Cavalry and Captain of the Württemberg Guard on February 17, 1754 .
