The ruins Home Stone , also known as Burgstall Home Stone called, is a Outbound rock castle in the town of Neidlingen in the district of Esslingen in Baden-Württemberg .

The castle site of the former rock castle is located on a steep 764 m above sea level. NN high cliffs opposite the Reußenstein castle ruins . On the south side of the castle rock is the entrance to the Heimenstein cave , a passage cave , which is probably included in the fortifications .
history
The Lords of Heimenstein are considered to be the builders of the castle. It was first mentioned around 1240, here a Gerboldus Diktus de Haimenstein is mentioned. In 1251, Ulrich von Hamesthain , follower of the Dukes of Teck , and in 1296 Gerboldus von Heimenstein are mentioned . In 1477 a Margarete vom Stain von Heimenstein is mentioned. In 1596 the castle was shown on Gadner's map
investment
The castle complex was probably provided with an 8 by 6 meter building within the core castle . Remnants of the neck ditch can still be seen.
