The ruins Wuelstein is an Outbound rock castle south above the castle Hohen Gutenberg at 714 m above sea level. NN on the water rock near the district Krebsstein of Lenningen in the Esslingen district in Baden-Württemberg .
history
There is no documentary evidence of the origins of the castle; it was probably built as a control room and protective castle for Hohengutenberg Castle. The dukes of Teck are named as owners . It is mentioned as a castle stables as early as 1600 . It is owned by the state of Baden-Württemberg.
description
The freely accessible castle site has an irregular rectangular floor plan. Only overgrown remains of the core masonry and the neck ditch give evidence of the former castle complex .
