Run for Cover is a music album by Northern Irish hard rock and blues guitarist Gary Moore . It was released on 10 Records / Virgin in September 1985 and is often considered Moore's breakthrough.

history

The album dealt in part with Irish subjects as well as subsequent releases. Phil Lynott, among others, took part in the recordings . Out in the Fields , one of Moore's greatest successes, is Lynott's last recording before his death in 1986. Former Deep Purple bassist Glenn Hughes played on Reach for the Sky and All Messed Up . The ballad Empty Rooms is a remake of the well-known piece by Moore.

criticism

The Allmusic website praised the “fantastic” vocal performances of Hughes and Lynott. They rated the album four out of five stars.
