Russian national floorball team

The Russian national floorball team represents Russia in international games and tournaments in the sport of floorball (also known as floorball).

The Russian Floorball Federation was founded in 1992 and became part of the International Floorball Federation in 1993. At the two European championships held in 1994 and 1995, Russia finished fourth and fifth. In 1995, Switzerland lost 3: 5 in the small final to Switzerland. In 1996 Russia took part in the first floorball world championship in Sweden and finished in 6th place, the best Russian world championship result to date (as of 2010). After that, however, the team always managed to place itself in the top 10.
