Floorball World Championship 2010

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The 8th men's floorball world championship was held from December 4th to 11th, 2010 in Finland . The games took place in Helsinki and Vantaa . 16 teams took part in the tournament, six more than two years earlier at the World Cup in the Czech Republic . The best seven teams in the A division and the best team in the B division qualified directly. The remaining eight participants were selected through four qualifying tournaments in Poland, Spain, Singapore and Canada.

For the second time in a row, the title went to hosts Finland, who beat Sweden 6-2 in the final. The bronze medal went to the Czech Republic, which beat Switzerland 9: 3 in the small final.
