On the beach of Platja de s'Illot in the bay of Cala Moreia , the private and hotel buildings that extend to the water stand out. The first hotel inaugurated in the 1950s in what was then called Cala Moreia was owned by Pere Caldentey , goalkeeper of the Fútbol Club Barcelona between 1952 and 1955. The sand dune beach of Cala Moreia extends over a length of almost 350 meters and has an average width from about 35 meters. There are only a few houses and hotels on the promenade directly behind the beach.
