The chess club 1975 Bann e. V. is a chess club from the Palatinate municipality of Bann in the district of Kaiserslautern .

The association was founded in the summer of 1975 in the Rupert Rutz Cafe in Bann. The greatest success in the club's history was the promotion to the 1st German Chess League, after you became champions in the 2nd League South in the 2005/06 season. However, the stay in the top German division lasted only one year, because Bann ended the season on a relegation zone. Well-known former players of the club are for example the chess grandmasters Dimitri Bunzmann , Alexandre Dgebuadze , Sipke Ernst , Florian Jenni , Miloš Jirovský , Aloyzas Kveinys , Viktor Láznička , Georg Meier , Petar Popović , Roman Slobodjan , Jiří Štoček , Lothart and Luc Winants Vogants .
