The 1935/36 season was the eighth season of the Finnish SM-sarja . Ilves Tampere became champion for the first time in the club's history . HSK Helsinki was relegated to the 2nd division.

Top scorer was Jussi Tiitola from Ilves Tampere with ten goals and Kalevi Ihalainen from HJK Helsinki with seven goals and three assists .
