Sabine B. Vogel

Sabine B. Vogel (* 1961 in Essen ) is a German art critic .

Life

Sabine B. Vogel studied German and art history at the Ruhr University Bochum and received her doctorate in art history from the University of Applied Arts Vienna .

In the 1980s she worked as an editor for the German art magazine Wolkenkratzer Art Journal in Frankfurt, moved to Vienna in 1995 and has lived in Klosterneuburg since 2001 . From 1999 to 2015 she ran the netmagazin kunstundbuecher.at together with graphic designer Erwin K. Bauer with interviews and book reviews on art, literature, children's books, architecture and design, and since 2015 she has run the weblog sabinebvogel.at . Vogel has been teaching as a university lecturer at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna since 2003 .

From 2004 to 2018 she was on the board of AICA AUSTRIA (international art critics association), from 2009 to 2018 as president.

One focus of her texts, which she u. a. Published in the Kunstforum , in the Neue Zürcher Zeitung and the Austrian daily newspaper Die Presse , is at international biennials .
