Sabine Rossbach

Sabine Rossbach , formerly also Sabine Rossbach-Hesse (born August 20, 1959 in Hachenburg , Westerwaldkreis , Rhineland-Palatinate ), is a German journalist and radio presenter . Since 2010 she has been director of the NDR Landesfunkhaus Hamburg.

Life

Rossbach is the daughter of a journalist. She graduated from the Wilhelmschule in Kassel and then worked as a trainee at Kieler Nachrichten from 1978 to 1980 . Then she worked there as an editor.

From 1981 Rossbach worked in Hamburg as a freelancer for NDR 2 , where she moderated and worked as an author and radio reporter. Her permanent position followed ten years later. In 1994 she became head of the newly established department “Wort / Entertainment” and in 1997 head of the “Pool Wort” department (news, service and entertainment).

In 1998 Sabine Rossbach took up the position of deputy director and head of the television program department at the NDR Landesfunkhaus Mecklenburg-Vorpommern in Schwerin . However, she still resided in Hamburg-Bergedorf .

On October 1, 2010, Sabine Rossbach took over as director of the NDR Landesfunkhaus Hamburg, succeeding Maria von Welser . She is responsible for the radio program NDR 90.3 , television programs with reports from Hamburg such as Hamburg Journal and Rund um den Michel as well as for digital offers. Since 2016 she has been program director of the Hamburg Journal and is also responsible for the digital radio wave NDR Plus in the same function , previously she was program director of NDR 90.3 from 2012. In 2020 she was confirmed in her office as director for another five years.

Rossbach is also the deputy chairwoman of the supervisory board of the Hamburg Schleswig-Holstein film funding agency .

She is the mother of two daughters.
