Sabrina Horvat (born July 3, 1997 ) is an Austrian soccer player who has played for 1. FC Köln and the Austrian national team since 2019 .

Career

Sabrina Horvat grew up in Höchst in Vorarlberg , where she played in the youth team at FC Höchst . In 2012 she moved to FC Staad in Switzerland .

From 2016 to 2018 she played for the Swiss first division club FC Basel . In summer 2018 she switched to Werder Bremen , where she met her compatriots Katharina Schiechtl , Adina Hamidovic and Julia Kofler. This made her the second Vorarlberg girl after Sonja player to play in the German Bundesliga. After relegation with Werder Bremen, she moved to promoted 1. FC Köln after one season , where she signed a contract until 2021.

In 2016 and 2018 she was voted Vorarlberger Footballer of the Year by the Vorarlberger Nachrichten .

National team

Horvat completed assignments in the U-19 national team.

She made her debut in the Austrian women's A team in March 2019 in the Cyprus Cup against Slovakia under team boss Dominik Thalhammer , where she was replaced by Katharina Schiechtl in the 30th minute due to an injury .
