Sackenried is a district of the city of Bad Kötzting and a district in the Upper Palatinate district of Cham , located in the Bavarian Forest .

location

The church village is located in a forest clearing, a good 3 km south of Bad Kötzting. Sackenried, Buchberg bei Wettzell and Ried am See are located in the district .

history

The independent community in the Lower Bavarian district of Viechtach consisted of the districts Sackenried, Buchberg , Hainzlhof , Höllnstein and Ried . On January 1, 1946, it was incorporated into the municipality of Wettzell . This was dissolved in 1978 in the course of the municipal reform, Sackenried came to Bad Kötzting.
