The Salagou is a river in France that runs in the Hérault department in the Occitanie region . It rises in the pass Col de la Merquière in the western municipality of Brenas , dehydrated generally toward the east-northeast and ends after about 21 kilometers at the municipal boundary of Lacoste and Le Bosc as a right tributary to the Lergue . The Salagou and its tributaries form the Lac du Salagou reservoir .
