Liausson is a town and municipality in the south of France with 146 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Hérault department in the Occitania region (before 2016: Languedoc-Roussillon ). The municipality belongs to the arrondissement of Lodève and the canton of Clermont-l'Hérault . The inhabitants are called Liaussonais .

Liausson is located about 34 kilometers west-northwest of Montpellier . On the northern municipal boundary is the Lac du Salagou, which is endowed by the Salagou River and its tributaries. Liausson is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Clermont-l'Hérault in the north and east, Mourèze in the south and Octon in the west and north-west.
