Pégairolles-de-l'Escalette ( Occitan : Pegairòlas de l'Escaleta ) is a French commune with 159 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Hérault department in the Occitania region (before 2016 Languedoc-Roussillon ). It belongs to the arrondissement of Lodève and the canton of Lodève (until 2015 Le Caylar ). The inhabitants are called Pégairollais .

geography

Pégairolles-de-l'Escalette is about 49 kilometers west-north-west of Montpellier . The municipality borders on Saint-Félix-de-l'Héras in the north, Le Cros in the northeast, Saint-Michel in the east and northeast, Saint-Étienne-de-Gourgas in the east and southeast, Soubès in the south and southeast, Poujols in the south as well as Lauroux to the west and southwest.

The A75 runs through the municipality.
