Pouzols ( Occitan : Posòls ) is a town in the south of France and a municipality with 967 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Hérault department in the Occitania region . The municipality belongs to the arrondissement of Lodève and the canton of Gignac . The inhabitants are called Pouzolais .

location

Pouzols is located about 38 kilometers north-northeast of Béziers and about 29 kilometers west of Montpellier . The Hérault limits the municipality to the west. Pouzols is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Saint-André-de-Sangonis in the north and west, Gignac in the north and north-east, Popian in the east, Le Pouget in the south and Canet in the south-west.
