Poujols ( Occitan : Pojòls ) is a place and a municipality in the south of France with 164 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Hérault department in the Occitania region (before 2016: Languedoc-Roussillon ). The municipality belongs to the arrondissement of Lodève and the canton of Lodève . The inhabitants are called Poujolains .

location

Poujols is about 50 kilometers west-northwest of Montpellier . The Lergue River limits the municipality to the east. Poujols is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Pégairolles-de-l'Escalette in the north, Soubès in the east, Lodève in the south and Lauroux in the west.
