Le Puech ( Occitan : Lo Puòg ) is a place and a municipality in the south of France with 242 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Hérault department in the Occitania region (before 2016: Languedoc-Roussillon ). The municipality belongs to the arrondissement of Lodève and the canton of Lodève . The inhabitants are called Puéchois .

location

Le Puech is located about 45 kilometers west-northwest of Montpellier in the Clairette du Languedoc wine-growing region . Le Puech is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Lodève in the north, Le Bosc in the east, Celles in the south and south-east, Octon in the south and south-west, Lavalette in the west and Olmet-et-Villecun in the north-west.
