Salasc ( Occitan : identical) is a place and a municipality in the south of France with 301 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Hérault department in the Occitania region . The municipality belongs to the arrondissement of Lodève and the canton of Clermont-l'Hérault .

Salasc is about 45 kilometers west of Montpellier . The Salagou River runs along the northern municipal boundary . Salasc is surrounded by the neighboring communities Octon in the north, Mourèze in the south and east, Valmascle in the south and Mérifons in the west and north-west.
