Puilacher ( Occitan : Puòglatgièr ) is a town in the south of France and a municipality with 578 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Hérault department in the Occitania region . The municipality belongs to the arrondissement of Lodève and the canton of Gignac . The inhabitants are called Puilacherois .

Puilacher is located about 34 kilometers northeast of Béziers and about 29 kilometers west of Montpellier . Puilacher is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Le Pouget in the north, Plaissan in the east, Bélarga in the south and Tressan in the west.
