Argelliers ( Occitan : Argelièrs ) is a town in the south of France and a municipality with 1,012 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Hérault department in the Occitania region (before 2016 Languedoc-Roussillon ). The municipality belongs to the arrondissement of Lodève and the canton of Gignac ( Aniane until 2015 ). The inhabitants are called Argelliérains .

Argelliers is about 40 kilometers northeast of Béziers and about 20 kilometers west-northwest of Montpellier . Argelliers is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Causse-de-la-Selle in the north and north-west, Saint-Martin-de-Londres in the north-east, Viols-le-Fort and Viols-en-Laval in the east, Murles in the east and south-east, Vailhauquès in the South and southeast, Montarnaud in the south, La Boissière in the west and southwest and Puéchabon in the west.
