Guzargues ( Occitan : Gusargues ) is a French commune with 510 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Hérault department in the Occitanie region . It belongs to the arrondissement of Lodève and the canton of Saint-Gély-du-Fesc (until 2015: canton of Castries ). The inhabitants are called Guzarguois .

geography

Guzargues is located about twelve kilometers north-northeast of Montpellier on the Salaison , which also rises in the municipality. Guzargues is surrounded by the neighboring municipalities of Montaud in the north and east, Castries in the southeast, Teyran in the southeast, Assas in the south and west and Saint-Mathieu-de-Tréviers in the northwest.
