Sauteyrargues ( Occitan : Sautairargues ) is a French commune with 410 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Hérault department in the Occitanie region ; it belongs to the Arrondissement of Lodève and the Canton of Lodève (until 2015: Canton Claret ).

Sauteyrargues is about 25 kilometers north-northeast of Montpellier . Sauteyrargues is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Claret in the north and northwest, Corconne in the north and northeast, Vacquières in the east, Fontanès in the south, Valflaunes in the southwest and Lauret in the west.
