geography
Saint-Maurice-Navacelles is located on the southern edge of the Cevennes in the valley of the river Vis . The community is known for the Cirque de Navacelles , a grandiose basin that the Vis has carved 400 meters deep into the karst. The main settlement of the community is in the basin.
