Saint-Clément-de-Rivière is about nine kilometers north of Montpellier . The headwaters of the Lez are located in the north of the municipality . Saint-Clément-de-Rivière is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Les Matelles in the north, Prades-le-Lez in the east and north-east, Montferrier-sur-Lez in the south, Montpellier and Grabels in the south-west and Saint-Gély-du-Fesc in the west .
