Bélarga ( Occitan : Belargan ) is a town in the south of France and a municipality with 632 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Hérault department in the Occitania region . The municipality belongs to the arrondissement of Lodève and the canton of Gignac . The inhabitants are called Bélarganais .
location
Bélarga is located about 31 kilometers northeast of Béziers and about 31 kilometers west-southwest of Montpellier . The Hérault limits the municipality to the west. Bélarga is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Tressan and Puilacher in the north, Plaissan in the east and northeast, Saint-Pargoire in the southeast, Campagnan in the south and Paulhan in the west and southwest.

Attractions
- The St. Stephen Church (église Saint-Étienne) from the 17th century is a branch church of the parish of St. Benedict (Saint-Benoît Val d'Erau), which is responsible for the Hérault Valley , with its seat in Le Pouget in the Archdiocese of Montpellier . Church services are only occasionally held in Bélarga.
