Lacoste ( Occitan : La Còsta ) is a place and a municipality in the south of France with 325 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Hérault department in the Occitania region (previously Languedoc-Roussillon ). The municipality belongs to the arrondissement of Lodève and the canton of Clermont-l'Hérault . The inhabitants are called Coustoulins .

location

Lacoste is about 35 kilometers west-northwest of Montpellier . The Salagou River crosses the municipality . Lacoste is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Le Bosc in the north and north-west, Ceyras in the east and Clermont-l'Hérault in the south and west.
