Lauroux ( Occitan : Laurós ) is a place and a municipality in the south of France with 200 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Hérault department in the Occitania region (before 2016: Languedoc-Roussillon ). The municipality belongs to the arrondissement of Lodève and the canton of Lodève . The inhabitants are called Lauroussiens .

Lauroux is about 51 kilometers west-northwest of Montpellier . Lauroux is surrounded by the neighboring municipalities of Les Rives in the north, Saint-Félix-de-l'Héras in the northeast, Pégairolles-de-l'Escalette in the east, Poujols in the east and southeast, Lodève in the southeast, Les Plans in the south, and Roqueredonde in the West as well as Romiguières in the north-west.
