Valmascle ( Occitan Los Combals ) is a place and a municipality in the south of France with 40 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Hérault department in the Occitanie region (before 2016 Languedoc-Roussillon ). The municipality belongs to the arrondissement of Lodève and the canton of Clermont-l'Hérault .

Valmascle is about 47 kilometers west of Montpellier . Valmascle is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Mérifons in the north and northwest, Salasc in the north and northeast, Mourèze in the east, Cabrières in the southeast, Vailhan in the south, Montesquieu in the southwest and Pézènes-les-Mines in the west.
