Vailhan ( Occitan : Valhan ) is a southern French municipality with 158 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Hérault department in the Occitanie region . It belongs to the arrondissement of Béziers and the canton of Cazouls-lès-Béziers (until 2015: canton of Roujan ). The inhabitants are called Vailhanais .

location

Vailhan is located about 24 kilometers north-northeast of Béziers on the dammed Peyne , the Lac des Olivettes . Vailhan is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Valmascle in the north, Cabrières in the east and northeast, Neffiès in the east and southeast, Roujan in the south, Gabian in the southwest and Montesquieu in the west.
