Ferrières-Poussarou ( Occitan : Ferrièiras de Possaron ) is a southern French municipality with 61 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Hérault department in the Occitania region . The municipality belongs to the arrondissement of Béziers and the canton of Saint-Pons-de-Thomières (until 2015: canton of Olargues ). The inhabitants are called Ferriérois .

Ferrières-Poussarou is located in the Haut-Languedoc Nature Park ( Parc naturel régional du Haut-Languedoc ) about 30 kilometers northwest of Béziers . Ferrières-Poussarou is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Saint-Étienne-d'Albagnan in the north, Berlou in the northeast, Prades-sur-Vernazobre in the east and southeast, Pierrerue and Saint-Chinian in the southeast, Babeau-Bouldoux in the south, and Pardailhan in the west Southwest as well as Riols in the west.
The community belongs to the Saint-Chinian wine region .
